Time Machine was a durational event for Cork Midsummer Festival 2016 that developed out of Hollie Kearns and Rosie Lynch’s Im/Plant Residency at the National Sculpture Factory.

Time Machine asked the question: “What are the demands of time?” Throughout the evening of the longest day of the year, Time Machine presented a series of art works, actions and talks which presented contradictory and subjective perceptions of time. The event took place within the working environment of the large Sculpture Factory workshop with contributions from Ruth Lyons (visual artist), Katherine Waugh (curator, writer, filmmaker), Sarah Lincoln (visual artist), Philip Stokes (clock maker), Paul Hegarty (sound) and hospitality by Fennelly’s of Callan,

Leap Year was a public talk in the form of a visual essay, that marked the end of Rosie and Hollie’s residency.
