Workhouse Union works with artists, designers, architects and crafts-people to develop projects examining housing, civic infrastructure and the commons, engaging people with the spaces and places we live in.

How We Work

We strongly believe that art has a positive and real role to play in civic life. We’re committed to finding meaningful ways of connecting creativity, participatory design and public engagement processes to the planning and development of the spaces and places we live in. Our work and research emerges through strategic partnerships and collaboration with other individuals, practices, organisations, local authorities and community groups. We are passionate about creating strong support structures for the artists, designers and communities we work with.
