Workhouse Union is a community co-design organisation based in Callan, Co. Kilkenny. We support the development of inclusive, meaningful, positive places and communities with a unique approach rooted in care and collaboration. Through long-term community-led engagement, we use creativity to bring people together around complex issues, needs and challenges. Our mission is to help facilitate a meaningful transformation of towns, neighbourhoods and shared spaces. Our work grew out of the rich creative ecology of town renewal projects in Callan from 2010 onwards. Our team works across Ireland while maintaining our office, library and PrintBlock studio in our Callan neighbourhood.
